I can't imagine going thru each bottle making sure it makes the right sound and travel at the exact speed to sound right! Awesome.

My guess is they took a more scientific approach to it. Once they figured out how much water it took to alter the notes it would be fairly easy to calculate the amount of water needed for each note but that would still have taken an enormous amount of time!
